Malta lies in Southern Europe in the Mediterranean Sea and consists of three main islands (Malta, Gozo, Comino) as well as smaller islands.

Maltese and English are the official languages of Malta.

Taxi Service: Passengers can use white taxis everywhere except at bus-stops. It is recommended to inquire and agree on a fare before using a taxi. Taxis from the International Airport to any location have a fixed rate.

The best way of getting around in Valletta and its surroundings is by Smart Cabs. The Smart Cabs is a battery-powered, chauffeur-driven electric vehicles fleet through the city of Valletta. It operates on a 'Hail & Ride' basis. The Smart Cabs can pick you and drop you anywhere in the City. On request city tour service can be booked. Fares start from a minimum of EUR 3.00 per trip within the city. The service can be extended to the city surroundings on request. The service runs from 08:00 to 19:00 hrs, 7 days a week.

Malta has a Subtropical-Mediterranean climate. The average temperature in October is 24°C. Average rain fall in October is 70mm.
Lightweight clothing in cottons or blends is recommended. A sweater or light jacket may be needed for cooler evenings.
The general working days are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:30 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00. Sundays closed. Banks are working from Monday to Friday.
