APGCE 2017 is hosted by PETRONAS and organised by ICEP in collaboration with EAGE.
As petroleum geoscientists, we work daily from core to well, from field to basin, from satellite to seismic and across a whole range of technical disciplines. We succeed best where we collaborate together, and APGCE is seeking the best examples of innovation from Asia and worldwide. We invite you to share your diverse range of technologies, emphasising that the solution is often in the many things we have in common, rather than in our differences. The modern 'source to sink' concept is helping us towards a better understanding of sedimentary basins and petroleum systems, highlighting the complex interaction of processes resulting in the resources we aim to discover, develop, and add value to our companies and countries.
Our conference will use this concept to link field trips, cores, technical courses and technical sessions to specifically address the modelling and understanding of sedimentary systems. Contributors are requested to consider placing their papers within this overall context, stressing lessons learned, value creation and challenges overcome to unlock the potential of Asian basins. Please share with us your success stories echoing the sentiments and philosophy of our overarching theme – Collaborative Solutions, Sharing Success.
