EAGE Economic Hardship Programme
Contribution towards 2017 EAGE workshops
The contribution towards 2017 EAGE workshops is a new element to the EAGE hardship programme, allowing long term EAGE members currently unemployed to participate in EAGE workshops at heavily discounted rates. It was introduced in September 2017, and is available for all upcoming workshops organized by EAGE in the remainder of 2017.
Under this element of the EAGE Economic Hardship Programme, those meeting the below-listed terms and conditions can apply for a discounted course fee equal to 50% of the member early bird registration fee for the full event. Participants can apply up to two weeks before the start of the event, but are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. This support is available for, but not limited too, the following events:

Terms & conditions
The application for a reduced workshop registration fee can be submitted for an EAGE workshops taking place in Q4 2017.
The discount fee is based on the costs for an member early bird registration fee for the full workshop.
The applicant needs to have been a regular EAGE member for the last two consecutive years (2015, 2016) and have an active EAGE membership for 2017.
The applicant must have been without employment for at least three months and must be actively looking for work.
Applications must have been sent at least two weeks in advance. Applicants applying for events outside of their own country have to allow sufficient time to apply for the proper travel documents.
No remuneration can be granted for the remainder of the registration fee.
Costs for transport, accommodation, subsistence and/or other costs connected with attending the event are the sole responsibility of the applicant
EAGE holds the right to cancel a workshop based on low registration numbers.
There are limited amount of places under this programme per workshop.
Full-time students cannot apply for this programme.
How to apply
If you would like to be considered for the workshop discounts, please send an email explaining your request to email@example.com. Any additional documentation to support your request will also help to strengthen your application. All applications need to be sent at least two weeks prior the start of the workshop.
Your application will be handled in the strictest confidence. This means that we will not publish your name or contact your previous employer to check your status.
Your application will be reviewed by the PACE committee. Once your request has been processed by this committee, you will be contacted by EAGE staff with the results of your application.
