First EAGE/PESGB Workshop on Velocities
Welcome to the First EAGE/PESGB Workshop on Velocities
Despite considerable improvements in seismic data quality and imaging algorithms, velocities and earth models remain the key challenge for depth prediction. Therefor EAGE and PESGB have joint forces to establish a series of workshops to address this and other issues involved in velocities. In this first workshop we focus on all aspects of reducing uncertainties; including applications in seismic imaging, velocity model building, pore pressure prediction, depth conversion and drilling.
During the Call for Abstracts we would especially welcome case histories highlighting successes and failures.
Prior to the workshop, on 21 February 2018, EAGE and PESGB will organize a short course on Velocities as well. This course will be organized at the PESGB Headquarters.
We look forward meeting you in London at the workshop from 22-23 February 2018 or at the Short Course the day before.
