Welcome to ECMOR XVI
From 3 - 6 September, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region, will host the 16th edition of the European Conference on the Mathematics of Oil Recovery. The biennial ECMOR conference gathers applied mathematicians and geosciences engineers from both academia and industry to discuss the recent advances in the mathematics of oil recovery.

Keynote speaker Announcement
Professor Mateo Valero, Director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and a highly acclaimed leader in the field of computer architecture will give a keynote presentation during ECMOR XVI in Barcelona.
His research encompasses different concepts within the field of computer architecture, a discipline in which he has published more than 700 papers in journals, conference proceedings and books. Valero has received nomerous awards, including the Eckert-Mauchly award in 2007, for "extraordinary leadership in building a world class computer architecture research center, for seminal contributions in the areas of vector computing and multithreading, and for pioneering basic new approaches to instruction-level parallelism.
