Fifth International Conference on Fault and Top Seals 2019
Aim of the Conference
The objective of the conference is to provide a forum to share our experiences (technical and organizational) in fault seal and top seal analysis, propose solutions and discuss research approaches to resolve some of our outstanding technical challenges.
Fault and top seal analysis of conventional reservoirs remains a key uncertainty. There is now more focus on issues such as fault analysis in carbonate reservoirs, seals to unconventional reservoirs and seal analysis for CO2
storage sites. For this reason, this conference is eager to address the issues which did not obtain much of the focus.
Fault and top seal analysis requires a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach. For this reason, we are keen to attract case studies as well as presentations that cover the range of approaches required for successful seal analysis (i.e., laboratory, modeling, interpretation of static and dynamic data etc.) It is often the case that different industries approach seal analysis in different ways so the conference aims to bring together people working not just on petroleum-related issues but also those working in areas such as hydrology, waste disposal and gas storage.
